A young woman in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh was the victim of a brutal attack. A young man assaulted her with a sickle, inflicting a severe injury that severed several of her fingers. The disturbing incident was filmed by a bystander.

In a brutal attack, the victim’s fingers were cut off
On April 13th, near the Palampur bus station, a horrific attack unfolded. A young woman named Saina was walking down the stairs around 3 pm when a man named Sumit Chaudhary suddenly struck her head. In a frenzied attack, he then lashed out with a sickle, inflicting about 12 brutal blows on her arms and hands. Witnesses reported that Saina, in a desperate attempt to shield herself, raised her hands to protect her head. Tragically, this action exposed her hands to the full force of the sickle attack, resulting in the severing of her fingers.

Thankfully, bystanders reacted swiftly to overpower Chaudhary and end the attack. They then played a crucial role in getting help for both Saina and her attacker. Saina, who was seriously injured, was rushed to a nearby hospital. Due to the severity of her condition, she received initial treatment at TMC Kangra before being transferred to PGI Chandigarh for specialized care. Fortunately, her condition has since improved, and she is reported to be stable.

Palampur Bus Stand News : Police apprehended the attacker, identified as Sumit Chaudhary, who reportedly works for the Public Works Department. At the scene of the crime, officers recovered the weapon used in the assault – a sickle – along with a piece of Saina’s hair and her handbag.

The case related to the killing of Neha Hiremath.

Fayaz, a spurned lover, fatally stabbed Neha Hiremath, 23, on April 18 at a college campus in Hubbali, Karnataka. Neha, the daughter of Congress Corporator Niranjan Hiremath, had rejected Fayaz’s romantic advances prior to the attack.
