Regarding battery life, both smartphones feature 5,000mAh batteries, which should easily last through a full day of use. The Nothing Phone 2a Plus supports 50W fast charging, whereas the OPPO F27 Pro Plus offers a quicker 67W SuperVOOC charging. We’ll explore their real-world battery performance to determine which one performs better.

To evaluate real-world battery performance, we streamed a high-quality YouTube video at the maximum resolution for 30 minutes on both phones, with brightness and volume set at 50 percent. The results showed a 4% battery drop on both the Nothing Phone 2a Plus and the OPPO F27 Pro Plus after the test. This equates to a reduction of 200mAh on each device.

Next, we conducted the PCMark battery test, which repeatedly performs various tasks to measure battery endurance from a full charge down to 20 percent. Both phones were set to 80 percent brightness and 50 percent volume, with all network connections turned off for consistency. The Nothing Phone 2a Plus lasted 14 hours and 34 minutes, while the OPPO F27 Pro Plus lasted 10 hours and 46 minutes. This suggests that the Nothing Phone 2a Plus is more energy-efficient compared to the OPPO F27 Pro Plus.

To evaluate battery performance under stress, we played Call of Duty Mobile, Real Racing 3, and BGMI for 30 minutes each on both phones, with brightness set to 80 percent and volume at 50 percent.

However, it does not come with a charger in the box. Using a Motorola 68W PD charger, it took 51 minutes to charge the 5000mAh battery from 20% to 100%.

In contrast, the OPPO F27 Pro Plus includes a 67W SUPERVOOC charger and can refill its battery from 20% to 100% in 48 minutes.
