Calling All Space Hackers! 30 Teams to Battle for Glory in ISRO’s 30-Hour Marathon!

ISRO has launched the Bharatiya Antariksh Hackathon (BAH) for National Space Day 2024. This event features twelve problem statements focusing on Geo-Spatial Applications from ISRO centres like NRSC, PRL, NESAC, SPL, and SAC.

Teams of 3-4 Indian students from undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs are invited to submit innovative solutions. Key dates include the web portal launch on July 4, 2024, proposal submission deadline by July 26, 2024, and the grand finale on August 13, 2024, at NRSC Outreach Facility in Hyderabad, where 30 teams will compete in a 30-hour marathon event.

 

ISRO Hackathon: Apply Now!

The Bharatiya Antariksh Hackathon 2024 features a rigorous two-level screening process. Initially, 100 teams will be shortlisted based on the creativity and relevance of their proposals to the problem statements provided by ISRO.

Following this, an expert committee will select 30 teams to advance to the grand finale, a 30-hour marathon scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM IST on August 13, 2024, at the NRSC Outreach Facility in Jeedimetla, Hyderabad.

To participate, teams must submit their proposals through a dedicated web portal by July 26, 2024. The announcement of the shortlisted teams will take place on August 2, 2024. ISRO Chairman Dr. S. Somanath will launch the web portal for the hackathon on July 4, 2024, at 10:30 AM IST, with the event streamed live on ISRO’s YouTube channel, offering a chance for space enthusiasts to witness the start of this prestigious event.
