The Maharashtra government has introduced a new scheme called ‘Ladla Bhai Yojana’, following the success of the Ladli Behna Yojana aimed at promoting daughters and women. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced this initiative as a gift to the sons of the state. Under this scheme, boys will receive various benefits, mirroring those provided to girls under the Ladli Behna Yojana.

 

Skill development initiative for Maharashtra’s youth

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced the Ladla Bhai Yojana in Pandharpur, outlining its benefits for the youth of Maharashtra. Under this scheme, youth who have completed 12th standard will receive Rs 6,000 per month, those pursuing diploma courses will receive Rs 8,000 per month, and graduates will receive Rs 10,000 per month from the government.

Additionally, participants will gain practical job experience through a one-year apprenticeship in factories, paving the way for potential employment opportunities based on their acquired skills. CM Shinde highlighted that this initiative aims to address unemployment by equipping youth with industry-relevant skills, marking a pioneering step in governmental support for skill development.
