Nifty Bank Up 0.7%; Sensex, Nifty50 Rise Sharply Today
The Nifty Bank index climbed 0.7% with HDFC Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank leading the gains. The Nifty50 rose by 151.75 points, while the Sensex increased by 548.07 points. AGI Infra and Ravindra Energy hit new 52-week highs, while others reached lows.

On Thursday around 10:34 AM IST, the Nifty Bank index was trading positively in a favorable market environment.
Among the top gainers were Au Small Finance Bank Ltd. (up 1.26%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (up 1.05%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (up 0.83%), Axis Bank Ltd. (up 0.83%), and IndusInd Bank Ltd. (up 0.69%). On the other hand, the top losers included Bandhan Bank Ltd. (down 1.52%), Punjab National Bank (down 0.48%), Federal Bank Ltd. (down 0.46%), and Bank of Baroda (down 0.11%).
At the time of the report, the Nifty Bank index had risen by 0.7% to 53,118.25.
Sensex, Nifty rise sharply.
The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index rose by 151.75 points to reach 25,529.3, while the BSE Sensex increased by 548.07 points to 83,496.3.
Out of the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were in positive territory, and 17 were in negative territory.
Among the most actively traded stocks on the NSE were Vodafone Idea, Bajaj Housing Finance, NTPC, Reliance Infrastructure, and HFCL.
AGI Infra Ltd., Ravindra Energy, Hindustan National Glass, Oswal Agro Mills, and Prudential Sugar achieved new 52-week highs during today’s trading. Meanwhile, Kross L, P N Gadgil Jewellers, Tolins Tyres, Mahalaxmi Fabric Mills, and Revathi Equipment reached new 52-week lows.
