NCC Stock Soars 6% (Q4 Results Surge Shares)
Shares of NCC surged by up to 6.63 percent, reaching an intraday high of Rs 267.70 per share on Thursday following the announcement of robust financial results. The industrial building construction company’s net profit rose by 25.2 percent to Rs 239.2 crore in the fourth quarter of FY 2024 (Q4FY24), compared to Rs 191 crore in the same quarter of the previous year (Q4FY23).
NCC Revenue Up 31%
NCC’s revenue surged by 31 percent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 6,485 crore in Q4FY24, up from Rs 4,949 crore in Q4FY23. The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (Ebitda) increased by 18.5 percent to Rs 550.4 crore in the March quarter of FY24, compared to Rs 464.6 crore in the same quarter of FY23. As a result, the margin slightly declined to 8.5 percent from 9.4 percent YoY.
NCC Debt & Expansion Plans
As of March 31, 2024, NCC’s consolidated net debt stood at Rs 428 crore. The company’s Board of Directors proposed a dividend payment of Rs 2.20 per equity share, each with a face value of Rs 2, for FY24.
During the quarter, NCC entered the smart meter segment and secured three projects worth Rs 8,080 crore. The company has commenced a field trial of smart meters for the Bihar project and plans to start field trials for the Maharashtra packages next month. Additionally, the company approved the appointment of Rajender Mohan Malla as an additional non-executive independent director on its board, effective July 1, 2024.
NCC Stock Up 6%
NCC announced it had received new orders worth Rs 3,086 crore in March, as stated in a recent statement. According to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), NCC’s market capitalization stands at Rs 16,433.30 crore. The stock’s 52-week high is Rs 277.90, while its 52-week low is Rs 99.55 per share. At 10:00 AM, NCC shares were trading at Rs 267 per share, marking a 6.35 percent increase. In comparison, the S&P BSE Sensex was up by 0.24 percent at Rs 73,159.60.
