A senior Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) official has indicated that the company anticipates a growth of over 30% in sales of its CNG vehicles, aiming for approximately 600,000 units in the ongoing fiscal year.
Maruti Ups CNG, Export Targets
In a recent analyst call, Maruti Suzuki India’s Executive Director of Corporate Affairs, Rahul Bharti, announced ambitious targets for the company. They aim to export approximately 300,000 units in the current fiscal year, alongside a projection of about 600,000 CNG vehicles sold domestically by the financial year 2024-25.
Bharti highlighted the high demand for CNG variants of popular models like WagonR, Brezza, Dzire, and Ertiga in the Indian market.
To address supply challenges, Maruti Suzuki plans to expand its manufacturing capacity by about 100,000 units annually at its Manesar plant in Haryana, particularly focusing on increasing the supply of Ertiga.
Bharti also emphasized the company’s commitment to export growth, targeting a significant increase in exports compared to the previous fiscal year.
