Maruti Dzire: A New Era of Safety and Style Maruti has recently made waves with its first 5-star rated car, the new Dzire, which achieved impressive scores in the Global NCAP crash tests. The Dzire outperformed even some well-known models, including the Skoda cars and the Mahindra Scorpio-N, in both adult and child safety ratings. Building on this success, the new Maruti Swift is expected to follow suit. Like the Dzire, the Swift is based on the updated Heartect platform, which enhances its body stability. Additionally, both cars now come with upgraded safety features, including six airbags as standard.

Given the similarities, the new Swift is anticipated to achieve a 5-star safety rating, which could place it ahead of its rival, the Tata Tiago, which currently holds a 4-star rating. Maruti’s push for safety innovation with models like the Swift and Dzire is raising the stakes for competing hatchbacks in the Indian market.

Maruti has also revamped the Dzire with a fresh exterior and interior design, resembling the new Swift. The sedan now offers features like an electric sunroof and a 360-degree camera, setting new standards in its segment. The pricing of the new Dzire ranges from Rs 7.91 lakh to Rs 11.91 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Here’s an in-depth look at the Chromico accessory pack, which enhances the car with chrome accents both inside and out.

Exterior Enhancements
The Chromico pack adds chrome garnishes to the upper and lower portions of the grille, enhancing its front-end appeal.
On the sides, the car features black door visors and chrome door cladding. However, the chrome strip running below the window line is not included in this pack and must be purchased separately.
At the rear, a gloss-black bumper insert with chrome accents completes the styling, while the rest of the exterior remains unchanged from the standard model.

Interior Upgrades
The dashboard remains the same, but the Chromico pack adds patterned leatherette seat covers for a more premium feel.
Additional interior features include 3D floor mats, stainless steel door sill guards, and faux wood inserts on the door armrests, mirroring the standard dashboard design. Neck cushions shown in the images are available separately.

Pricing and Availability
The Chromico pack is available for all four variants of the 2024 Maruti Dzire, with prices ranging from Rs 26,500 to Rs 34,500, depending on the variant.

Maruti Dzire: A New Era of Safety and Style The all-new 4th-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been launched in India with a starting price of ₹6.79 lakh. This model marks a significant upgrade, especially in terms of safety, as it has received a 5-star GNCAP crash test rating. The Dzire has long been the best-selling sub-4m compact sedan in the country, with over 27 lakh units sold to date. While previous generations were criticized for their safety ratings, the new Dzire aims to address that issue and is set to compete more fiercely against rivals like the Honda Amaze.

The new Dzire comes in four variants: LXI, VXI, ZXI, and ZXI+, with automatic trims available on all except the base LXI variant. The VXI and ZXI variants offer an option for a factory-fitted CNG kit. Additionally, Maruti is offering a subscription plan starting from ₹18,248 per month.

The new Dzire’s dimensions remain largely unchanged, with a length of 3,995 mm and a width of 1,735 mm. The height has increased slightly to 1,525 mm (up from 1,515 mm). The ground clearance and wheelbase remain the same, with the car sitting 163 mm above the ground and a wheelbase of 2,450 mm.

The Dzire features the updated Z12E 3-cylinder engine, which generates 82 hp and 112 Nm of torque. It offers impressive mileage, delivering 24.79 kmpl with the manual transmission, 25.71 kmpl with the AMT gearbox, and 33.73 km/kg in CNG form. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT, though CNG variants come only with the manual gearbox.

The interior features a dashboard borrowed from the Swift but with lighter beige accents and textured elements. The Dzire now includes an electric sunroof and a 360-degree camera, alongside the familiar cabin design. The boot space has increased to 382 liters, providing more storage compared to the Swift.

The new Dzire comes equipped with a range of standard safety features, including ABS with EBD, 6 airbags, hill-hold assist, ESP, traction control, reverse parking sensors, and seatbelt reminders. It also includes a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, and a 360-degree camera.

The Dzire is available in seven color options: Gallant Red, Nutmeg Brown, Alluring Blue, Bluish Black, Magma Grey, Arctic White, and Splendid Silver. The design of the new Dzire has been revamped, giving it a more European look compared to its previous Japanese design.
