Mahindra Veero: 5 Reasons It’s a Game-Changer for Urban Transport
Mahindra launches new LCV, Veero
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has introduced its new light commercial vehicle (LCV), the Mahindra Veero, with a starting price of ₹7.99 lakh. This launch is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the sub-3.5-tonne segment.
The Veero, built on Mahindra’s Urban Prosper Platform (UPP) — India’s first modular platform for commercial vehicles supporting multiple energy types — offers diesel, CNG, and electric variants. It accommodates payloads between 1 tonne and 2 tonnes with various deck lengths, aiming to meet diverse urban transport and logistical needs.
Mahindra Veero offers efficient and safe transport
The diesel variant of the Mahindra Veero delivers a fuel efficiency of 18.4 km/l, while the CNG version offers 19.2 km/kg with a certified range exceeding 500 km. This LCV is equipped with driver-side airbags, a reverse parking camera, and a 26.03 cm touchscreen infotainment system featuring steering-mounted controls, all designed to improve driver convenience.
It also includes power windows. With a payload capacity of 1,600 kg and a cargo length of 3035 mm, the Veero is well-suited for small to medium-scale transport operations.
Mahindra Veero offers convenience and durability
The Mahindra Veero features a 5.1-meter turning radius, making it easier to maneuver in city traffic. It also comes with iMAXX connected solutions, allowing fleet owners to track vehicle performance via a smartphone app, which is available in six Indian languages for broader accessibility.
Powering the Veero are two engine options: a 1.5-litre mDI diesel engine and a Turbo mCNG engine, both delivering 210 Nm of torque. The diesel engine generates 59.7 kW of power, while the CNG version offers 67.2 kW.
The Mahindra Veero includes a standard warranty of three years or 1 lakh km, providing potential buyers with added peace of mind regarding maintenance and long-term expenses.
