These shares will maintain a constant price in indices until their standalone listing date, after which they will be excluded three business days later.

Ganesh Dongre, Senior Manager — Technical Research at Anand Rathi, recommends holding ITC shares. He advises investors to add more shares in the ₹430-₹450 range while maintaining a strict stop-loss of ₹400.

For new investors, Dongre suggests buying on dips within the same range, anticipating a near-term target of ₹480. A further breakout above ₹480 on a closing basis could push the stock to ₹520.

 

Demerger Details
The ITC Hotels demerger record date is January 6, 2025, with an effective date of January 1, 2025. The demerger ratio is 1:10, meaning shareholders will receive one ITC Hotels share for every 10 ITC shares held.

ITC Hotels will initially appear as the 51st Nifty 50 constituent and the 31st in the Sensex. Its weight in indices will remain constant until live trading begins post-listing, which is yet to be announced.
