The iPhone SE 4 is expected to launch today, though Apple has yet to confirm the date. According to reports, the new budget-friendly iPhone will come with significant upgrades, including a design similar to the iPhone 14, an OLED display, and Face ID.
Mark Gurman from Bloomberg recently suggested that Apple might introduce the iPhone SE 4 and PowerBeats Pro 2 this week via a press release, rather than hosting a launch event.
There are also speculations that Apple could drop the “SE” branding and rename the device as the iPhone 16e. Moving away from its traditional compact design, the new model is expected to feature a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate, replacing the previous 4.7-inch LCD panel. Additionally, the device may house a single rear camera, upgraded from 12MP to 48MP, along with a 24MP front camera.
The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to adopt a boxier design similar to recent iPhones and will likely run on the A18 chip, the same processor as the iPhone 16 series. With 8GB of RAM and support for Apple Intelligence, it could become the most affordable AI-powered iPhone.
As for pricing, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to start at $499 (approximately ₹44,000 in India), similar to its predecessor’s launch price. However, due to possible tax adjustments, the final price in India could vary.
