Neighboring districts like Medchal and Rangareddy are also on alert. Renowned weather expert T. Balaji echoed IMD’s warnings, urging residents to secure loose objects and avoid outdoor activities during storms. The storms are expected to bring temporary relief from the recent scorching heat, with daytime temperatures projected to dip to 36°C—a notable drop from the 41.6°C high recorded in Shaikpet just days ago.  

What Does the Yellow Alert Mean? 

A yellow alert signals potentially hazardous weather that could disrupt daily life. The IMD advises residents to stay updated on forecasts, avoid outdoor activities during storms, and secure loose objects to prevent damage from strong winds. The alert also highlights risks of localized flooding, power outages, and traffic delays.
