At launch, only the Midnight Blue HMD Crest and Deep Purple HMD Crest Max will be available. During the special introductory offer, their prices will be ₹12,999 and ₹14,999 respectively. Both the HMD Crest and Crest Max come with 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED displays, featuring a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass equivalent protection.
HMD phones offer fast charging and repairability
Both the HMD Crest and Crest Max are powered by the Unisoc T760 5G 6nm SoC. The Crest features 6GB of RAM, with an additional 6GB available for expansion, while the Crest Max offers 8GB of RAM and an 8GB expansion capability. They run on Android 14, and HMD promises two years of security updates.
In terms of cameras, the Crest has a 50MP main camera, a 2MP secondary camera, and a 50MP front camera. The Crest Max enhances the photography experience with a 64MP main camera with a Sony sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 50MP front camera.
Key features include a “Hands-Free Selfie” mode with gesture control, AI Super Portrait mode, and a Flash shot feature for capturing moving subjects. Additionally, HMD introduces Repairability 1.0, which makes it easier to replace components like the back panel, battery, display, and charging port, promoting longer device lifespans and reduced e-waste.
Both models are equipped with a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging, with the charger included in the box. HMD claims the battery remains in good condition even after 800 charging cycles.
