The bank has planned a system upgrade for Saturday, July 13, which will cause temporary disruptions to services such as UPI transactions and Fastag recharges. During this upgrade, you might experience interruptions with several services.
The bank assures that this upgrade is intended to enhance overall performance, speed, and reliability in the long term.
Impact on services:
– UPI services will be unavailable from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm.
– Fastag transactions won’t be affected, but you won’t be able to load Fastag through HDFC Bank NetBanking or use auto-recharge from your HDFC Bank account during the upgrade period.
HDFC upgrade: 13.5hr downtime, alternate Fastag recharge
HDFC Bank customers can still load their Fastag using HDFC Bank Credit or Debit cards (with restricted limits) or through BBPS during the system upgrade.
Details of the scheduled upgrade:
– Start: 3:00 am, July 13
– End: 4:30 pm, July 13
The bank has planned this upgrade on the second Saturday, a bank holiday, to minimize inconvenience. Due to the scale of this upgrade, please be aware that some banking and payment services will be temporarily paused for 13 and a half hours.

The following services will remain unaffected during the system upgrade:

– Recharge via UPI from 3:45 AM to 9:30 AM and after 12:45 PM
– FASTag acquiring transactions for Toll operators

Unavailable Services During the System Upgrade
The following services will be unavailable from 3:00 AM to 4:30 PM during the system upgrade:
– Recharge via HDFC Bank NetBanking
– Auto-recharge via Standing Instruction for both Corporate and Individual customers from HDFC Bank Account
– Recharge via UPI will be unavailable from 3:00 AM to 3:45 AM and from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM
