Google Pixel Tablet : New Accessories and Pricing Revealed in Latest Leak
Google is gearing up to reintroduce the Pixel Tablet, this time without a dock, but with the addition of an official keyboard and stylus. Recent leaks have also unveiled the expected prices for these accessories. Previous rumors hinted at Google’s plans to launch a keyboard and stylus for the Pixel Tablet, and now, new information suggests that these accessories will be available alongside the tablet starting in May.
Google Pixel Tablet : According to Droid-Life, retail listings from an undisclosed European retailer suggest that the Pixel Tablet will be available without its dock for €446 for the 128GB variant, while the 256GB option will cost €553. Comparatively, the current price for the Pixel Tablet with its dock on the Google Store is €679, indicating a significant discount. However, these leaked prices may not necessarily reflect the final pricing upon the formal launch of the new options, but they do suggest a substantial price difference of approximately 30%.
If the 30% price difference directly translates to US retail pricing – which is uncertain – the Pixel Tablet without a dock would be approximately $330. Considering Google sells the dock separately for $129, this price would be significantly lower than the bundle’s value. Therefore, it’s likely that the prices from this retailer are lower than intended.
Additionally, the listings also unveiled the “Pixel Tablet Pen” and “Pixel Tablet Bluetooth Keyboard.” The keyboard is listed at €89, but it’s speculated to potentially be closer to €100. Comparatively, Google’s latest official stylus, the Pixelbook Pen, was priced just under $100.
What are your thoughts on these possible price points?
