In March, Google Search’s mobile version introduced a dedicated notification feed for Android devices. Recently, Google has extended this feature to the Google app. Currently, the notifications tab feature in the Google app for Android is not widely available. According to 9to5Google, it appears to be accessible only in the app’s beta version 15.20.

 

The beta version of the Google app on Android now includes a notifications tab alongside the Discover, Search, and Saved tabs. As shown in the screenshots, this new tab is marked with a bell icon and is situated in the bottom navigation bar. It displays the same updates available in the mobile web version of Google Search.

The beta version of the Google app now features a continuous stream of notifications, including alerts for search, weather, flights, sports scores, movies and TV shows, the word of the day, and more. These notifications are organized into two sections: “Today” and “Earlier,” with the latter displaying updates older than 24 hours.

 

Each notification in the tab has a three-dot menu button next to it, offering three options: “Delete,” “Don’t get notifications like this,” and “Send feedback.” Tapping on a notification takes you to the search results for that update.
