Akash’s 10-year-old son, Krish, was injured in the shooting. The police reported that the shooting happened around 8:30 PM, following a call about gunfire in Bihari Colony. Upon arrival, officers found that the victims had already been taken to the hospital, where both Akash and Rishabh were pronounced dead.

CCTV footage reveals that Akash and Rishabh, dressed in yellow kurtas, were lighting firecrackers outside their home when two men approached—one on a motorcycle and the other on foot. After a brief conversation with Akash, one of the men produced a gun and fired five shots as Akash turned to go inside, fatally hitting him and injuring his son. Rishabh attempted to chase the shooter but was shot as well.

Authorities apprehended a minor in connection with the case, who allegedly had a longstanding financial dispute with Akash. This minor is believed to have hired the shooter, with the murder plot developing over the previous 15 days. They had been observing Akash’s movements for three days prior to the incident. The footage shows Akash, his nephew, and his 15-year-old son, Krish Sharma, celebrating by bursting firecrackers outside their home. The 17-year-old approached Akash on a motorcycle and touched his feet, while the shooter stood nearby. Moments later, the shooter fired approximately five bullets at Akash, fatally injuring him and wounding Krish. Rishabh chased after the shooters but was also shot and killed.

According to police, the teen had lent Akash ₹70,000 about a month prior, but Akash had not repaid the loan or answered his calls. A senior police official indicated that the murder had been planned for 17 days. The minor had previously faced an attempted murder charge, while Akash had multiple cases against him, including serious charges related to rape and murder involving the teen and his brother, Yogesh Sharma, who is Rishabh’s father.
