In an interview with Bloomberg, Gates, who has frequently discussed climate change, highlighted Tesla’s achievements in the electric vehicle sector. He commended Tesla’s role in addressing climate issues and expressed a desire to engage in further discussions with Musk about this crucial topic. Gates also referred to their previous conversation at the Breakthrough Prize ceremony, underscoring the impact of Tesla’s efforts.

In the interview, Bill Gates noted that recently, Elon Musk has seemed less focused on climate change in his public statements. Despite this, Gates acknowledged Musk’s significant contributions to the field through Tesla’s groundbreaking advancements in electric vehicles, which he believes are more impactful than mere rhetoric.

Gates also commented on Musk’s selective focus on issues that matter to him personally, praising his distinctive communication style and calling him a “smart” and “unique” individual who effectively conveys his ideas.

However, Gates and Musk have had notable differences in the past. Gates has previously criticized Musk’s Mars colonization plans, suggesting that Musk should allocate his resources to vaccines and saving lives instead. In response, Musk has questioned Gates’ grasp of artificial intelligence.
