Apple CEO Tim Cook Casually Enjoys a Po’boy in New Orleans
Apple CEO Tim Cook, one of the most recognizable business leaders in the world, managed to go largely unnoticed while grabbing a meal in New Orleans ahead of the Super Bowl. A now-viral video captured him waiting in line at Domilise’s Po-boys & Bar, a renowned local eatery famous for its signature sandwiches.
Despite being in the company of NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. and Apple’s services chief, Eddy Cue, Cook did not attract much attention. Fans at the restaurant were focused on Beckham Jr., while Cook quietly ordered and enjoyed his meal.
Domilise’s later shared the video on Instagram, humorously asking, “Would you have recognized Tim Cook?” Judging by the reactions, most patrons didn’t seem to notice his presence.
In another widely shared clip, Cook was seen at a table enjoying a shrimp po’boy sandwich alongside a group of people.
Beyond his casual food stop, the Apple CEO spent the weekend engaging with students, athletes, and prominent figures from the music industry ahead of the big game. He later described the experience as “amazing.”
During his visit, Cook also made an unannounced stop at the Apple Store in Lakeside Shopping Centre, accompanied by Apple’s retail chief, Deirdre O’Brien. She later shared a post on Instagram, praising the enthusiasm and dedication of the Apple team.
Super Bowl LIX concluded with the Philadelphia Eagles securing a win over the Kansas City Chiefs. The halftime show, headlined by rapper Kendrick Lamar, also had an Apple connection—his song Humble was added to the Apple Arcade game Synth Riders on Vision Pro as part of Apple’s event promotions.
