Akshay Kumar has tested positive for Covid-19, leading to his absence from Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding. This development coincides with the release of his film Sarfira in theaters today. Reports indicate that Akshay had been unwell for the past two days while actively promoting Sarfira.

On Friday, July 12, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are set to wed amidst a gathering of celebrities from around the globe. However, Akshay Kumar might miss this grand event due to testing positive for Covid-19.

Sources disclosed that Akshay had been feeling unwell over the past two days, busy with promotions for his latest release ‘Sarfira’. He underwent testing on the morning of July 12 and received a positive result, prompting him to isolate and follow medical advice. Consequently, he also had to skip the promotions for ‘Sarfira’.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding festivities are scheduled as follows: a ‘shubh vivah’ ceremony on July 12, ‘shubh aashirwad’ on July 13, and a grand reception on July 14. The Ambani wedding is expected to be graced by celebrities including John Cena, Mike Tyson, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jay Shetty, Boris Johnson, Tony Blair, John Kerry, and Stephen Harper.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar’s new film ‘Sarfira’ hit theaters on July 12. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film is an official remake of the 2020 Tamil movie ‘Soorarai Pottru’ and features cameo appearances by Paresh Rawal, Radhika Madan, and Surya.
