Qualcomm and Microsoft have introduced the Snapdragon Dev Kit tailored for next-generation AI PCs. This kit includes an enhanced Developer Edition of the Snapdragon X Elite processor, as well as various ports and a design suitable for developers’ multi-monitor setups.

In partnership with Microsoft, Qualcomm Technologies Inc. has unveiled the Snapdragon Dev Kit for Windows. Tailored for developers focused on crafting or enhancing applications and user experiences for the forthcoming wave of AI PCs, this compact PC is driven by the Snapdragon X Elite processor. As a multitude of Snapdragon X Series laptops prepares to enter the market, developers will gain access to state-of-the-art technology, empowering them to innovate and deliver finely-tuned software and AI-driven interactions.

By leveraging the native Windows on Snapdragon toolset, which encompasses Visual Studio/VSCode along with an array of runtimes, libraries, and frameworks, the Dev Kit facilitates swift adaptation and recompilation of Windows applications directly for Snapdragon. This ensures a refined experience for PC consumers, empowering developers to efficiently optimize their software for Snapdragon architecture.

The Dev Kit is open for pre-order immediately and will hit retail shelves on June 18, priced at $899.99.
