During the inauguration of Aero India 2025 on Monday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized that true peace cannot exist without robust security. He asserted that only through strength can nations contribute to a better global order.

Highlighting current global uncertainties, Singh reiterated that India, as a major nation, has always championed peace and stability.

“For us, security and peace are not confined to national boundaries. These are collective responsibilities that transcend borders. The presence of international partners at Aero India underscores the shared commitment to the vision of ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future,’” he stated.

He stressed the importance of collaboration in addressing modern challenges and navigating today’s uncertainties.

He outlined the key objectives of Aero India, including:

Bengaluru Aero Show Begins at Yelahanka Air Force Station, Rafale & Su-30MKI Take Center Stage

The 15th edition of the Bengaluru Aero Show was officially inaugurated today at Yelahanka Air Force Station by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The biennial event, which will feature nearly 1,000 exhibitors and participation from 78 nations, will run until February 14, 2025.

Defence Secretary Sanjeev Kumar emphasized the scale and significance of this year’s event, highlighting the presence of cutting-edge stealth fighters such as the Rafale, Sukhoi, and the US-made F-35. Attendees, including defense manufacturers and the general public, will have the opportunity to witness spectacular aerial displays throughout the week.

 

Traffic Restrictions & Public Advisory

To ensure smooth traffic flow around Yelahanka Air Force Station, the Bengaluru Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory:

  • Diversions will be in effect from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily until Friday, February 14.
  • Heavy goods vehicles and private cars will not be allowed on key routes leading to the venue.
  • Visitors must carry valid ID proof and prepare for strict security screenings.
  • Due to rising daytime temperatures, attendees are advised to wear comfortable shoes, carry hats, and bring water bottles.

 

Aero India 2025: Event Schedule & Highlights

The week-long air show will run from February 10 to February 14, operating between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM each day.

  • First two days (February 10-11) are reserved for business representatives and defense manufacturers.
  • From February 12 onwards, the event will be open to the general public.
  • Two daily air shows will be among the main attractions, featuring fighter jet sorties and aerobatic performances.
