Inox Wind Ltd witnessed a significant surge in its stock price after securing a 153 MW wind energy project in Tamil Nadu. The order, placed by a leading renewable energy developer associated with a global clean energy firm, includes the supply of advanced 3 MW-class wind turbines along with limited-scope engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services. Additionally, the company will oversee multi-year operations and maintenance (O&M) post-installation. This milestone reinforces Inox Wind’s standing as a preferred partner in India’s rapidly expanding commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable energy market.

Following the announcement, Inox Wind’s shares jumped over 6%, reaching an intraday high of ₹162.49, and later surged 12.5% to ₹172.27, reflecting strong investor confidence. The company’s CEO, Kailash Tarachandani, highlighted that Inox Wind’s execution expertise, product innovation, and superior service capabilities position it as a key player in India’s growing wind energy sector. The company’s recent business expansion has been further bolstered by an increasing order pipeline, which currently stands at 3.3 GW, ensuring revenue visibility for the next few years.

Inox Wind operates four state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, where it produces essential wind turbine components such as blades, tubular towers, hubs, and nacelles. With an annual manufacturing capacity of 2.5 GW, the company is also developing a next-generation 4.X MW wind turbine platform to strengthen its competitive edge. Recent project wins include orders from Hero Future Energies, Inox Neo Energies, Integrum Energy, Everrenew, Continuum, and Serentica Renewables. In December, the company secured a 60 MW order from Serentica, set for installation in Karnataka in 2025.

India’s renewable energy sector is on an upward trajectory, with wind energy capacity projected to grow from 46 GW to 75 GW by FY32. As per JMK Research, India added 24.5 GW of solar and 3.4 GW of wind capacity in 2024, marking a twofold increase in solar and a 21% rise in wind installations compared to the previous year. By December 2024, the country’s total renewable energy capacity reached 209.44 GW, accounting for 45% of India’s total power generation.

Inox Wind’s diversified order book across independent power producers (IPPs), public sector undertakings (PSUs), and corporate clients, combined with its strengthened balance sheet and expanding execution capabilities, position it for sustained growth in the renewable energy market. With an annual manufacturing capacity of 2.5 GW and a robust order pipeline of 3.3 GW, the company is well-equipped to meet India’s increasing demand for wind energy.

Its ongoing development of a next-generation 4.X MW wind turbine platform further enhances its competitive edge, enabling higher efficiency, greater energy output, and improved reliability. This innovation aligns with India’s growing demand for advanced renewable energy solutions and strengthens Inox Wind’s market leadership by catering to large-scale wind power projects and utility-grade installations.
