Motorola has officially announced the launch date of its latest smartphone, the Moto G85 5G, in India for July 10. This device, previously launched in Europe as a rebranded version of the Motorola S50 Neo, is expected to feature the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset.

If it mirrors its European counterpart, the Moto G85 5G will likely boast a 6.67-inch pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection, offering vibrant visuals and durability. It weighs 175 grams, measures 7.59mm thick, and comes in Cobalt Blue, Olive Green, and Urban Grey vegan leather finishes.

 

Moto G85 5G: Powerful camera, big battery

Moto G85 5G: 50MP Camera: The Moto G85 5G is anticipated to be powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, promising robust performance. It will offer variants with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, catering to diverse user needs.

The phone will feature a dual-camera setup on the rear, including a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. For selfies, it is expected to sport a 32-megapixel front camera.

Running Android 14 out of the box, the Moto G85 5G guarantees two years of OS updates and three years of security patches. Software enhancements like Smart Connect, Family Space, and Moto Secure are also included.

It will come with an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance and house a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging capabilities.

Further details will be revealed at the launch event on July 10 at 12 pm IST. Post-launch, the phone will be available on Flipkart, Motorola India website, and offline stores.
