The issue was raised by the Gauhati University Postgraduate Students’ Union last Thursday, drawing concern from Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma during his visit to Barpeta on June 27.
According to students, there is an alleged racket operating within Gauhati University, involved in inflating marks in exchange for substantial sums of money during mark sheet evaluations.
