At the ‘Galaxy Unpacked 2024’ event, Samsung Electronics president Tae Moon Roh highlighted the necessity of balancing AI advancements for human benefit while preventing its misuse. He emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation by maximizing AI’s potential to improve lives and minimizing its risks. Roh mentioned Samsung’s collaboration with industry leaders to create safe and inclusive AI technology.

Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Ring, a new addition to their wearables lineup, which leverages Galaxy AI for personalized health and wellness insights. Features include energy tracking, sleep monitoring, heart rate, menstrual cycle tracking, inactivity alerts, and workout tracking.

Roh expressed excitement about developing a unique Galaxy AI ecosystem.

6 New Gadgets & AI Power Up Your Life: At the event, Samsung unveiled its sixth-generation foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, alongside the Galaxy Buds3 and Galaxy Buds3 Pro, aimed at enhancing mobile experiences across communication, productivity, and creativity. JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, emphasized the integration of these new products into an AI-infused Galaxy ecosystem designed to empower users and enrich their lives.

In addition to these announcements, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra, with pre-orders starting on July 10 and general availability scheduled for July 24.

Samsung’s commitment to leveraging technology for societal benefit was reiterated by Tae Moon Roh, who highlighted the widespread integration of Galaxy AI into 200 million devices by the end of the year, anticipating a significant impact.

Roh concluded by announcing that all products, except the Galaxy Ring, would be available for pre-booking starting July 10, with general availability beginning on July 24.
