Four individuals lost their lives and two others sustained critical injuries after the vehicle they were traveling in collided with a tractor and was subsequently struck by a truck near Lachipur Chhak on the Nuapada-Bhawanipatna road in Odisha late on Sunday. The deceased have been named as Subham Mohanty, Devendra Singh Lal, Rishi Sahu, and Debraj Patel, all residents of Khairiar.

According to reports, the accident occurred as the four friends were returning from celebrating Rishi’s elder brother’s birthday. The driver of their car lost control and collided with a tractor before being struck by an oncoming truck. The car sustained severe damage, and the tractor’s rear wheel was dislodged due to the impact. Tragically, all occupants of the car perished at the scene, while two individuals riding the tractor sustained injuries.

Upon receiving the information, police promptly arrived at the scene, retrieved the bodies for postmortem examination, and initiated further investigation. Authorities are actively pursuing the tractor driver, who is currently evading capture.
