In Manali, a cloudburst has resulted in significant damage, including to a power project on the river. Flooding caused by the cloudburst has led to the collapse of a house in Palchan. The cloudburst, occurring at midnight in Anjani Mahadev near Solanganala in Manali, has caused severe destruction in Palchan. Additionally, debris on the Palchan bridge has blocked the Manali-Leh road.

Additionally, a river-based power project has suffered damage. SDM Manali, Raman Kumar Sharma, and his team arrived at the scene overnight, and residents along the riverbank have been alerted. He reported significant damage due to the flood.
According to the Meteorological Center Shimla, a yellow alert for heavy rain is in effect for some areas of the state from today until July 31. Many regions experienced heavy rainfall last night, with Palampur receiving 68.0 mm, Dhaula Kuan 44.0 mm, Nainadevi 42.6 mm, Dharamshala 35.4 mm, BBMB 27.0 mm, Dalhousie 25.0 mm, Shimla 24.8 mm, and Chamba 22.0 mm.
Meanwhile, a storm in Nagali Panchayat Majdhar village, within the Banikhet area of Chamba, blew away the roof of a house and a cowshed on Tuesday at midnight. On Wednesday morning at 7 o’clock, increased water levels in a drain near Chau on the Chamba-Taleru road halted vehicle traffic for an hour and a half.

Last night, many areas experienced heavy rainfall, with Palampur recording 68.0 mm, Dhaula Kuan 44.0 mm, Naina Devi 42.6 mm, Dharamshala 35.4 mm, BBMB 27.0 mm, Dalhousie 25.0 mm, Shimla 24.8 mm, and Chamba 22.0 mm.
On Thursday morning, traffic was halted due to a landslide near the printing press on the Shimla-Chakkar-Manali road, causing vehicles to be rerouted via Balungj from Tawi turn until the highway was restored by the Public Works Department around 9:30 am.
Additionally, a landslide occurred on the Paonta Sahib-Shilai NH-707, resulting in long lines of vehicles on both sides of the road, including private and government buses. Passengers were left stranded, and stones fell on three vehicles passing through the highway, but fortunately, there were no injuries.
