Alarmed by the presence of such a dangerous snake, the homeowners contacted the forest department. The department promptly notified the Agumbe Rainforest Research Station (ARRS), whose team quickly intervened to rescue the snake. Ajay Giri, the field director of ARRS, posted a video of the rescue operation on Instagram.

The forest department responded to the situation after being alerted by the anxious homeowner and neighbors. The Agumbe Rainforest Research Station (ARRS) was notified and took immediate action by advising locals to exercise caution.

A video shared by Ajay Giri on Instagram, which has also been reposted by IFS officer Sushanta Nanda, depicts the careful removal of the king cobra by the rescue team. After capture, the snake was safely released back into the forest. The king cobra, known as the longest venomous snake in the world, can grow up to 18 feet and is native to the forests of India, Southeast Asia, and parts of East Asia.
